The top rung on the CLAS Ladder of Progress recognises a high level of craft skills with an award of CLAS Fellowship. 

If you feel that your skills are at this high level, for example if you have already taken the CLAS National Diploma in Calligraphy at the Intermediate or Advanced level, or an equivalent course, please get in touch with the CLAS Fellowship Assessment Administrator (fellows@clas.co.uk) who will let you know which Fellows to consult. Please arrange to show them the pieces you would like to be assessed. These consultations help you understand if your work is at the standard required, or if you have not yet fulfilled the assessment requirements. You should do this at least six months before any possible assessment date.

Although it is a formal assessment, we like to make the experience as pleasant as it can be and we aim to be helpful and constructive in our approach. You do not need to be nominated and seconded in order to apply.
