New Calligraphy and Lettering Arts Society Fellows

Assessing Helen's Scholes' Fellowship work (Clare Whittaker, Fellowship Application Officer is out of the picture as she was taking the photo)

The Calligraphy and Lettering Arts Society is delighted to announce that it has a new CLAS Fellow. Cathy Stables work was assessed by a panel of  CLAS Honoured Fellows and CLAS Fellows and she joins the growing list of CLAS Fellows, who are at the top of the CLAS Ladder of Progress. Her work included very delicate illumination and painting, with some pieces on vellum, but Cathy also showed the assessment panel some lively contemporary lettering in other pieces.

Helen Scholes is our newest CLAS Fellow. Her delicate and artistic pieces proved to the assessment panel that her work was of a very high standard. Helen also showed pieces with innovative and original lettering which were delightful.
