CLAS Regional Meetings

Each year the Calligraphy and Lettering Arts Society takes to the regions and so provides an opportunity for a Calligraphy and Lettering Arts Society Affiliated Local Group to show off the calligraphy skills in its area. In recent years these regional meetings have been held in Durham and Folkestone, Lancashire and the West Country, Oxford and Surrey. Our Local Groups work hard to make the day fun, interesting and with lots of things to do. There's always an exhibition of calligraphy, demonstrations and mini-workshops. Sometimes there's a speaker as well talking about some aspect of calligraphy and lettering.

In 2008, the Calligraphy and Lettering Arts Society Regional Meeting was held in Great Bookham in Surrey. In 2009, we had fun in Oxford as part of our 15th Birthday Celebrations, and in 2010, it will be in York.
