THE CLAS LADDER OF PROGRESS

This is seen as a first level of qualification for beginners and improvers, and will concentrate on a standard of achievement in one selected alphabet style at a time. Candidates can choose the recognised hand themselves - Foundational, Round Hand, Italic, Black Letter, Copperplate for example, and will be required to submit a limited number of short pieces. This is an opportunity for anyone interested in progressing in calligraphy to have their standard of work assessed against national criteria.
