Ros Pritchard

From the mid-80s I worked freelance as "Things Handwritten' designing lettering, based on my post-graduate training as a medical illustrator, and a BA in Fine Art. I've always handled a wide range of work, including formal calligraphy, but have developed a particular interest in 'ordinary' handwriting, especially Period hands; this has been useful in working for television and films, making documents as props, and also as a 'hand double' where the writing is filmed close up as it is formed, often replicating the real handwriting style of the actor involved, after analysing and learning fluency in it.
