CLAS Approved Courses are taught by:

• Tutors who are current members of CLAS,
• CLAS Teaching Honoured Fellows and/or CLAS Accredited Tutors and so are
• Tutors who have had their calligraphic and teaching abilities assessed or approved by CLAS.
• They prepare students for CLAS graded levels of qualification – the Certificate of Calligraphy and the National Diploma in Calligraphy at the three levels of Foundation, Intermediate and Advanced.

The CLAS Certificate of Calligraphy is the entry level of accreditation. The CLAS National Diploma in Calligraphy takes a longer time of preparation and usually students are ready to enter at Foundation level with approximately two years of part-time study after they have started learning calligraphy. Intermediate level takes about two years of preparation after that and Advanced may take two years or more after that.
